Volunteer Information (formally Dibs)

Dibs=Volunteer Hours

All family units are required to fulfill a certain number of volunteer hours as being a part of the River Lakes Hockey Association. If any family unit has not completed their required hours at the end of the season, they will be billed at $60 per unfilled hour.

Volunteer Hours All families are required to participate in Volunteer Hours. It is an excellent means to learn how the system works and meet the other wonderful people within the River Lakes Association. Volunteer hours can be filled by anyone 18 years of age or older.

All Returning Families are required to complete the following Volunteer Hours:

  • 12 Volunteer Hours
  • A maximum of 2 hours credit will be issued per family for parades

All First Year Skater Families are required to complete the following Volunteer Hours:

  • 4 Volunteer Hours While not anticipated, the number of hours may change based on need.


Remember after completing a Volunteer shift, you must complete a Volunteer slip and put in the the appropriate box at each arena to receive credit for your hours.

Volunteer slips can be signed by the following people: Board of Directors, PDC members, IP Coordinators and rink employees.
