- River Lakes Weekly Newsletter
- Each week the River Lakes Association will send out a newsletter with important information pertaining to the entire association. This could include details like upcoming association events, Dibs opportunities, details regarding online clothing stores, and lots of other great information.
- The email used to register for hockey will by default receive this newsletter. You can add a secondary email address in Sports Engine if needed.
- Emails from Team Managers
- Expect to receive emails from team managers throughout the season regarding any team-specific information that needs to be communicated.
Each Sunday Game Day we need someone to operate the time clock. Team Managers or parents who've been with the association can show you how to operate the clock. Use this Sign up genius link to sign up for a day to operate the clock.
This is a great resource to find out everything about how the organization is run, the code of conduct for players and parents, information on dibs, fundraisers, and fees for the season.

- All teams wear the RED River Lakes Jerseys all weekend.
- Games are scheduled Fri., Sat., Sun. @ Richmond and Paynesville Rinks.
- 8U and Bears Teams have games at BOTH Richmond and Paynesville.
- "Arena" vs "Location"- On the schedule the rink is designated by "Arena" (Richmond/Paynesville) and the "Location" designates where on the ice the game will be played (Lobby, Neutral, Lobby). See picture below and attached as an example.
- Arrive early- Plan to arrive 30/45min before each scheduled game. Locker rooms and the rinks in general will be jam packed (especially Paynesville), so you'll need extra time to navigate around.
- Team's last game- Prep your skaters to stay on the ice longer after the last game they play of the weekend for a picture and a team meeting with the coaches.
- Pre-ordered T-shirts- Pre-ordered T-shirts will be handed out sometime throughout the weekend by your team's coach or team manager.

Volunteer Sign up Details:
- Each family is required to sign up for volunteer shifts. Without volunteers, no jamboree for the kiddos.
- Non-Coaching Families: Sign up for 2 shifts.
- Coaching Families: Sign up for 1 shift.
- The below document ("Jamboree Volunteer Info") provides additional detail about each type of volunteer area- Setup, Welcome Table, Time Clock, Announcer, etc. Please review prior to jamboree weekend so you're familiar with the duties of each area.
Zamboni Sessions:
- In order to be able to zamboni the ice throughout the tournament, the black bumpers and temp boards/dividers will need to be cleared off the ice and then put back on for the games. We are asking River Lakes Team parents and Volunteer shift workers to help clear off and set back up the black bumpers and temp boards/dividers during zamboni sessions.
- ACTION: If your skaters team plays before or after a zam session, we will need a number of parents to help move the wall and bumpers in Paynesville and the bumpers in Richmond.
- At Paynesville when the wall is up, it takes roughly 8 people to move the wall and then move it back in place during each zam session.
- Please see the schedule attached on which teams will need to help at each time. These will be posted in the locker room as well.
