25 Hour Card Requirements/Credits

Volunteer Requirements

 

River Lakes West Volunteer Requirements
25 Hour Card: Squirt, G10U, PeeWee, G12U, Bantam, G14U
·         Volunteer hour requirements are based on the oldest child registered in the Association in the family.
·         A minimum of 10 hours must be worked in the concession stand
·         Each family must work one shift (4 hours) at the compost site.
·         Hours not completed on the 25 hour card at the end of the season will be billed at $15.00 per hour payable prior to your child taking the ice for play-off games.
·         Fundraising hours and tournament hours are in addition to the 25 hour card volunteer hour requirements.
10 Hour Card: Termites (Mini-mite), Mites, 8U
·         A minimum of 6 hours must be worked in the concession stand
·         1 shift (4 hours) must be worked at the compost site.
·         First year skaters are exempt of all hours.
·         Hours not completed on the 10 hours card at the end of the season will be billed at $15.00 per hour
·         Fundraising hours and jamboree hours are in addition to the 10 hour card volunteer hour requirements
 
Credit Hours given for Volunteer Positions:
Head Coaches, Player Development, EMT Manager, Ice Scheduler, Concession & Dib Coordinators: Traveling Team receive 21 hours credit on their 25 hour card, they must work one compost shift. IP Program coaches receive 6 hours credit on their 10 hour card; they must work one compost shift.
Board Members, Treasurer, Assistant Coaches (2 per Team) & Team Managers (1 per team): Receive 15 hours credit on their 25 hour card, must work 6 concession hours and 1 compost shift. IP Program receive 6 hours credit on their 10 hour card, must work 1 compost shift.
Fundraising Committee, Clothing Coordinator & Advertising Coordinator: Receive 11 hours credit on their 25 hour card, must work 10 concession hours and 1 compost shift. IP Program receives 6 hours credit on their 10 hour card, must work 1 compost shift.
 Process for Claiming Volunteer Hours on Dibs and getting credit for hours worked:
All concession and Compost Dibs will be posted on the website for members to go in and sign-up for- see the website navigation instructions in this packet for assistance.
Off-ice officials (score book and time clock) will be claimed on Dibs as well. River Lakes West does not assign volunteer hours for penalty box.
After you have completed the hours worked; you will need to fill out an orange slip found at the arena; get it signed off by a board member, coach, team manager, concessions manager, or arena manager; place it in the collection box.
