    Try Hockey for Free

    In Richmond from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    We are hosting Try Hockey Free at our arenas in Paynesville and Richmond.  Please follow this link to register.

    This event is designed to provide kids, between the ages of 4 to 9, a completely free experience to try youth hockey. A limited amount of equipment is available to borrow. Our top coaches will be on the ice to assist your child in learning the basics. Your son or daughter does not need any previous skating or hockey experience.

    Time to Register

    Registration is now live for returning families for the 2017/18 year.  Please make sure to register your oldest child first.  There will be an in-person registration for new players on Saturday, October 21.

    Your child must be registered in order to skate at camps the weeks of October 2-13 and before they're allowed to skate at try-outs on October 14 & 15.

    Concessions Manual

    Below is the updated concession stand manual for the 2017/18 season for working concessions at the rink in Paynesville. 

    There is a copy of this in the concession stand as well.  

    First Year Skater Program 

    River Lakes Hockey offers a First Year Free program for new skaters. This program allows kids who have not played hockey before the opportunity to try hockey at minimal cost. (Must be their first year registering with USA Hockey.)  The only expense during your first year is USA Hockey’s registration, which is $50 for players born prior to 2010, and free for players born in 2011 or later. Furthermore, families in our First Year Free program are excluded from the Fundraising Rebate Program.
